Born in Lima, Peru, Eliana grew up surrounded by traditional Peruvian flavors crafted daily by her mother. Though she never took formal cooking classes, her role as District Sales Manager for a major American gastronomy brand kept her closely connected to the culinary world.
After moving to the United States, she pursued her passion for baking while earning a Business Administration degree and working full-time as a banker. In 2011, she founded Sweets by Deliciosa Inc., specializing in artisanal Peruvian Alfajores and custom cakes.
Eliana made history as the first — and only — Peruvian dessert artisan to successfully enter Amazon, a platform known for being notoriously difficult for food brands. Not only did she enter, she thrived, earning exceptional ratings and delivering authentic Peruvian flavors to homes across the country.
Through her online store, The Icing House, she continues to elevate traditional Peruvian flavors into an extraordinary range of desserts, including her award-winning Susurro Quebranta, part of the winning team at the prestigious Embassy Chef Challenge in Washington, DC.
Her excellence has earned national recognition. The Icing House and Chef Eliana were the only dessert brand invited to represent Peruvian sweets at the internationally renowned Peru Mucho Gusto festival in New York — a distinction reserved for the very best.
Today, this exclusive dessert brand continues to captivate both American and Hispanic audiences with refined, culturally rich creations. Her signature cornstarch Alfajores remain a heartfelt tribute to her homeland — each bite a sweet memory and an irresistible invitation to indulge again.
